Region & Growing Info

Sri Lanka, India & Indonesia

This blended tea is from India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

India is an incredible nation and is the top producing country of black tea and its smooth and earthy full-bodied Assams are the foundation of our a superb Special Blend.  The camellia sinensis var. assamica varietal grows well in India’s hot and humid climate.

Sri Lanka is home to teas with that of its historical name, Ceylon. Known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, the teas tell a wonderful story.  Tea gardens in Sri Lanka thrive in their enviably position across high elevations, enjoying bright sunlight in the day and cool temperatures at night. This favourable climate produces several harvests per year.

Sumatra is one of the wonderful archipelagos of Indonesia that have made cultivating tea a mainstay. Sumatran teas are often an integral blend component which make up the essential bold, rich treacle-like flavours found in our classic, stalwart blends.
