Region & Growing Info

Nepal

Nepal, like its neighbour Darjeeling, is known for producing high-quality Black, Green, and White teas. Teas from Ilam and Dhankuta regions are prized for their delicate, floral, and sweet flavour profiles. Nepalese black teas resemble Darjeeling but are smoother and less astringent. The country's white teas are subtle and sweet, offering a pleasing and refined taste.

Nepali teas benefit from high-altitude growing conditions, creating bright and aromatic profiles similar to Darjeeling. The country’s prides itself on small, often family-run farms focus on producing premium, hand-plucked teas.
