Delightful single estate loose leaf black tea from the Nuwara Eliya district of Sri Lanka.

The "Lovers Leap" estate, at heights well above 2000m produced teas of a red/gold colour with a delightful balance of brisk robust taste and fragrant floral, citrus aromas.

The romantic name belies an unhappy story. Forbidden by her father the King to marry the man she loved, a local princess ran away with her beloved and, in despair, they jumped from a rocky outcrop to their deaths.

This is no reflection of the excellent teas grown on this estate!
