Region & Growing Info

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, produces a range of Black teas, particularly in Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Uva, and Dimbula. Nuwara Eliya’s high-altitude teas are light and floral, while Uva teas are bold, tangy, and slightly sweet. Ceylon tea is known for its brisk, refreshing taste.

Ceylon teas are prized for their brightness and versatility, often used in blends or enjoyed on their own. Each region’s unique terroir influences the flavour of its teas, from robust and malty to delicate and aromatic. Sri Lanka has also ventured into green and white tea production, expanding its tea offerings.
