Orange Pekoe is a grade of whole leaf tea which, when broken into smaller pieces, becomes Broken Orange Pekoe. 

Our Assam Tippy BOP also contains golden unopened leaf buds.  It brews quickly and develops a sophisticated yet robust full bodied malty flavour with spicy undertones and is a perfect partner at breakfast.

India

India is a major producer of Black tea, particularly in Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri. Assam teas are bold and malty, often used in breakfast blends. Darjeeling produces light, floral teas with muscatel notes. Nilgiri offers aromatic teas with a refreshing Flavour. India also produces green, white, and oolong teas, with Darjeeling and Assam producing premium, speciality single estate teas.

India's tea regions are characterised by distinct climate conditions that impart unique flavours. Assam’s tea, grown in the lowlands, is full-bodied and robust. Darjeeling’s high-altitude teas are light and muscatel. Nilgiri’s teas have bright, citrusy flavours.
