This full, large leaf Assam produces a deep amber brew, full of flavour yet mellow and with a touch of honey.

Assam teas are a firm favourite for breakfast in the UK, generally taken with milk (and sugar to taste).

They're also ideal in times of worry or trouble.

Region & Growing Info

India

India is a major producer of Black tea, particularly in Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri. Assam teas are bold and malty, often used in breakfast blends. Darjeeling produces light, floral teas with muscatel notes. Nilgiri offers aromatic teas with a refreshing Flavour. India also produces green, white, and oolong teas, with Darjeeling and Assam producing premium, speciality single estate teas.

India's tea regions are characterised by distinct climate conditions that impart unique flavours. Assam’s tea, grown in the lowlands, is full-bodied and robust. Darjeeling’s high-altitude teas are light and muscatel. Nilgiri’s teas have bright, citrusy flavours.
