Inside the Infusion - Darjeeling First Flush

Inside the Infusion - Darjeeling First Flush

The darling from Darjeeling has arrived - the season's finest 2026 Darjeeling First Flush.

Rare and revered, Darjeeling First Flush is often known as the champagne of teas, naturally elegant in character and distinctively aromatic due to the mineral rich soils and cool mountain air of high altitude tea gardens.

Harvested by hand in early spring, when the young leaves are at their freshest, most vibrant and tender, the tea is lightly oxidised and dried to capture its unique flavour. Full of green buds and liberal amounts of silvery tips, our 2026 First Flush has been selected from the Happy Valley tea garden, one of the highest in the Himalayan foothills.

Happy Valley is renowned for producing the finest first flush teas with rich floral white blossom aromatics, a subtle sweet flavour with notes of green muscat and peach and a light brisk silky body with a crisp mineral finish.

Suitable for one, or multiple brief infusions, and most definitely enjoyed without milk!  Brew Darjeeling First Flush at 95°C and immerse yourself in the true magic of this fine and rare tea.

Delayed by a late harvest, our 2026 Darjeeling First Flush has been eagerly anticipated and we are delighted that it has arrived.
