Rose Congou is a classic Chinese tea known and loved since the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).

It deserves to be better known and enjoyed beyond China.

Large leaf tea from Yunnan is scented with rose flowers carefully layered among the tea leaves at the outset of the oxidising process. This allows an intense rose aroma to permeate and infuse the whole tea.

A few petals are left in the finished tea serving as decoration.

The result is a cup that is sweet, perfumed and soothing and is more than deserving of its centuries of fame.
