Matcha Made in Heaven – Smoothie and Juice Recipes

We’ve selected five of our favourite and easy to follow smoothie and juice recipes that all include the magic of Matcha.
This magnificent green powder has a whole host of health benefits; high in antioxidants, rich in vitamins, lowers cholesterol and blood sugar, boosts metabolism, helps to burn calories, increases your energy levels. We could go on, but we explain all of the benefits in our guide, All About Matcha.
Blueberry Matcha Smoothie
What You Need:
- Blender
- 1tsp of Matcha powder
- Handful of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- Banana
- Handful of baby spinach leaves
- 250ml of milk of your choice
- 1 tbsp of oats
Method:
- Whiz all of these ingredients together in your blender, until fully blended, with a creamy, smooth consistency.
- Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to two days.
Energising Matcha Smoothie
What You Need:
- Blender
- ½ tsp of Matcha powder
- Banana
- ¼ of an avocado
- Handful of cubed mango (fresh or frozen)
- ½ inch of fresh ginger
- Handful of baby spinach leaves
- 250ml of milk of your choice
Method:
- Combine all of these ingredients together in your blender, until fully blended, with a creamy, smooth consistency.
- Add more milk if too thick
- Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
Cacao Matcha Smoothie
What You Need:
- Blender
- 1 tsp of Matcha powder
- 250ml of milk of your choice
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 banana
- 3 mejdool dates, pitted
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Ice to serve
Method:
- Blend all ingredients until smooth and serve over ice.
Very Green Matcha Juice
What You Need:
- Juicer
- 1 tsp of Matcha powder
- 1 green apple
- 1 handful of green grapes
- 1 stick of celery
- 4 inches of cucumber
- 2 broccoli florets
- 1 handful baby spinach leaves
- Ice to serve
Method:
- Juice the apple, grapes, celery, cucumber, broccoli and spinach together on a slow speed.
- Stir in the Matcha powder to the juice and serve over ice.
Zinging, Zesty Matcha Juice
What You Need:
- Juicer
- 1 tsp of Matcha powder
- 3/8ths of a pineapple
- 2 limes
- Sprig of mint leaves
- ½ inch of fresh ginger
- Ice to serve
Method:
- Juice the pineapple, limes, ginger and mint leaves together.
- Stir in the Matcha powder to the juice and serve over ice.
- You can muddle some extra mint leaves to the final juice.
