Picnic Perfect for National Picnic Month
July, on average is the warmest month of the year in the UK. Hello heatwave!
The month typically makes us think of long hazy days. Holidays, strawberries and cream teas, Wimbledon, and spending a lot more time in the great outdoors. So, it makes complete sense that it’s also the National month of the picnic.
Did you know that the word ‘picnic’ was originally a 17th century French word? ‘Picque-nique’ – meaning a social gathering where each attendee brings a share of food.
As we begin to pack up our blankets and baskets full of finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and cakes, don’t forget a flask of tea!
We have two glass thermal flasks for you to choose from that are perfect for those summer picnics.
Glass Tea Flasks – an ideal solution for a picnic
It is a double-walled glass flask, so your tea is insulated and it also comes with a neoprene sleeve for protection and a loop for carrying.
Complete with a removable stainless-steel strainer and lid. Simply drop your loose leaf tea in the strainer, pour in your water and let the flask do the rest.
Or, it works just as well if you fancy a cold beverage, try our Cold Brewed Tea Recipes which will also be kept cool in the glass flask.
They are a refreshing, delicious and healthy way to quench your thirst. Experts recommend loose leaf tea for the best flavour, but of course.
Extremely easy to make and boasting lots of health benefits. The process of cold brewing means that there are higher levels of nutrients, more antioxidants and less caffeine. (Naturally, with fruit and herbals brews there is no caffeine at all!). Cold brew also naturally sweetens when infusing and so it’s a healthy swap if you usually drink sugary cordials or juice.
